Design. Style. Reimagine.

A home is where games are played, naps are taken, and dinners are eaten. These are the things that create warmth and happiness.

At BTH Designs, we love to create beautiful interior spaces that reflect the people who live in them.  We believe the home should be a relaxing living space that incorporates the individuality of those that live in it.  Whether you are building a new home, remodeling the one you have, or just needing a refresh, we will help create a space that is welcoming and inviting.

Our Customer Service Philosophy

We understand that interior design and the process involved in it does not come easy for everyone.  We work not only as our client’s consultant, but as their advocate.  We go over what the process will be and provide a detailed timeline of the steps they can expect during the project. Unless clients are studying design magazines and books constantly, we know they aren’t going to be up on the current trends, so we help to educate on style, function and usability. We take the time to get to know the client and understand how their space is used and sometimes even challenge on how it could be used.  Our experience with working with sub-contractors and trade professionals, allows us to be the clients advocate during every step.

“When hiring an Interior Designer, you are not only hiring someone to help pick out your fabrics and colors, but you are also hiring someone to be your advocate and advisor." -Debbie

Our Portfolio

Mason Kitchen and Lounge

Our clients wanted to open up their kitchen and create a lounge area where the under-utilized dining room used to be.  By reconfiguring some of their kitchen layout, we were able to increase the working space and create a more open feel.  The lounge area can easily be seen from the kitchen and is a great addition for entertaining guests.  To add depth and visual interest, we chose a Granite slab with veining and movement for the parameter counter an went with a solid Quartz for the island.  We also installed a bank of dark tone cabinets on the double oven wall to break up all the white.   Our clients wanted a clean and simple design – I think this is perfect.

Oakley Kitchen

Our clients love to cook and entertain and needed as much cabinet space as possible in this small cape cod kitchen.  So, we had to get creative and decided the best option was to go vertical.  We installed floor to ceiling cabinets wherever we could and chose European style cabinets for their clean lines and simplicity.  We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining space and installed a small peninsula that provides seating for guests.  To create a clean look that the client wanted, we installed solid white Quartz countertops and a gloss white tile floor.   Even though the kitchen is small, it packs a punch with functionality.

Amberly Village House Remodel

This was a full rehab project on a large 5,000 sq ft ranch that had been deprived for years.   We tagged this house The Modern Farmhouse due to its expansive size and the lot it sat on.   In order to create a space for today’s families, we had to move around a lot of walls.  We also moved the location of the staircase leading to the lower level in order to make it part of the living space.  We created a luxury Primary Bedroom Suite that included a bathroom with a full size wet room and a large walk-in closet.

Blue Ash Vintage Bathroom

This client’s house had pristine original tile from the 50’s in the first floor bathroom, so removing it was non-negotiable.  We wanted to pay tribute to the beautiful tile by keeping the design simple and clean.  We went with a white hexagon floor tile to keep with the home’s age and style.  We installed a simple wood vanity with legs in order to create a light and airy feel.  This was a small project, but had a large impact.

Blue Ash Whole House Rehab

This was another full house renovation.  This 1950’s ranch was worn and outdated.  In order to achieve an open concept layout and to design a larger chef’s kitchen, we had to move the old staircase that originally sat just outside the kitchen.  We created an additional full bath on the main floor in order to create a private Primary On-suite.  We added a guest bedroom on-suite in the lower level along with an office/flex space.

Mt. Washington Bungalow

For this project, we wanted the small space to feel more open. We started by removing all the walls to the kitchen for a more open feel.  Since we removed all the walls on the parameter, we were able to close off a doorway to allow for more counter space.  Once we feathered in the hardwood floors into the kitchen area, the space felt open and larger.

“Renovating a kitchen can be overwhelming and time consuming. With BTH Designs, the process was anything but. Debbie kept us on track with our vendors and contractors, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. It is truly the kitchen of our dreams!

BTH Designs seeks to create spaces that you don’t want to leave, and we can honestly say we don’t spend much time outside of our kitchen any longer. We entertain, cook, and enjoy times with our loved ones. We are creating our best memories yet! Thank you, Debbie!” – Mark & Betty Oakley
